Working with you to support those who protect us

Galleries

We’ve added galleries to our webpage. So, we now have a central location to find images from our events. To access the events, hover over the “Galleries” listing on the top right of the page, and click on the event from the drop-down menu.

Our next major event will be Shop with a Hero in December

This is our yearly culmination event. We’re so excited to give the underprivileged children of Teller County the ability to go shopping with a county hero at our expense. This is the largest single monetary outlay our organization typically has in any given year, and it’s so appropriate for it to be so.

If you’re interested in helping us with this event, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to the HDSA by clicking on our “Contact” link in the menu at the top of this page.

If you’re a family who would like your child or children to participate in Shop with a Hero, sign up through the Teller County Department of Human Services or one of Teller County’s charitable organizations.

Signup will begin early October 2026.

We will start accepting applications for the HDSA Scholarship in December

Improving the lives of Teller County’s residents through outreach and assistance.

Teller County is a tight-knit community like no other throughout Colorado. We thrive on helping others, so our residents take care of each other like in no other county. We in the HDSA work very hard to play an important role supporting Teller. And we enthusiastically invite you to help us in that endeavor.

The Teller County Honorary Deputy Sheriff Association was originally organized in August 1998. It consists of local business people who want to make a difference in the community by supporting those first responders who serve our county by providing augmentation, public education and fundraising responsibilities.
